The Jawwal Pay app is designed to help you send and receive money in a secure and highly private manner.

Your privacy is our priority

The National Electronic Payment Company, a leading company in the field of electronic payment and electronic wallet services in Palestine, was established as a private limited joint-stock company in February 2018 and was licensed by the Palestinian Monetary Authority (PMA) as a PSP payment service provider to provide electronic payment services and electronic wallet services

The company was established to develop electronic payment services and provide them to the Palestinian community, especially citizens who do not have bank accounts or who do not benefit from current banking services. Among the company's services: Money transfer, bill payment, balance recharge, online shopping, payment via QR code for merchants, purchase of digital cards and international MasterCard cards, and other services.

The company also operates under its trade name "Jawwal Pay" and is wholly owned by Jawwal.

Relationship with a mobile company:

• Jawwal has acquired the National Electronic Payment Company - Jawwal Pay  is committed to protecting your privacy by processing information about your financial transactions separately from Jawwal.

• When you use Jawwal Pay in apps and on the web, information necessary for payment processing is shared with the app or website. The real Jawwal Pay account number is not shared with the merchant or with another company.

• Jawwal Pay data that can no longer be associated with your identity may be kept for a limited period to improve the services provided to you.

Data Collection:

While using the Application or the Website, we may ask you to provide certain personal information that is used to communicate with you or to conduct any business-related activity, and by providing us with your personal information you consent to our use of that information. This information may include but is not limited to, your name, last name, and email address.

 

Jawwal Pay app is packed with powerful security features that protect your information constantly. The insights we gain from maintaining our services help us detect security threats and automatically prevent them from reaching you. And if we discover a risk that we think you should know about, we'll let you know and help you take steps to keep you better protected.

• We work hard to protect you and Jawwal Pay by:

• We use encryption to keep your data private while in transit

• We offer a range of security features, such as Safe Browsing, Security Checkup, and 2-Step Verification to help you protect your account.

• We review our information collection, storage, and processing practices, including physical security measures, to prevent unauthorized access to our systems.

Access to personal information is restricted to Jawwal Pay employees who need to know that information to process it. Employees are contractually strict with confidentiality so failure to fulfill their obligations exposes them to discipline or termination.

Verify your identity

You may be asked to provide information including your name, address, and personal identification number (ID). The information you provide will only be used to verify your identity to prevent fraud and to meet the requirements of financial regulations from the Monetary Authority. If there is a need to verify your identity, you may be asked to provide additional information such as your date of birth, ID number, or a copy of your Palestinian ID.

 

Who do we share information with?

We do not share your personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Jawwal Pay except in the following cases:

• Request by regulatory authorities

• To audit with the legal auditor of Jawwal Pay

Bank transfers:

When you send or receive transfers from/to your bank account, your bank information - including the account number and routing number - will be stored to facilitate future transfers and to verify and match data. This information is encrypted and cannot be read by Jawwal Pay.

Paying off:

Information about the spending you receive or direct payments you make will be used by Jawwal Pay to provide the service you requested, troubleshoot, comply with applicable laws, and prevent fraud on those transactions. Jawwal Pay maintains records of transactions, including transactions that have been flagged as suspicious, as required by Palestinian Monetary Authority law for a period of up to five years.

Close Jawwal Pay Account

If you close your Jawwal Pay account, your account information including transaction history will be kept as required by law to avoid fraud.
